Privacy
What this website records, and what it does not.

Page views
When you open a page, the site counts it: the page’s address and, for the first page of a visit, the domain name of the site you came from. They are stored only as daily totals per page and per referring site.
The counter sets no cookie and stores no identifier and no IP address. It does not count anything when your browser sends Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control, and it ignores crawlers.
Downloads
Installer links on the download page go through the site’s counter. It adds one to that file’s daily total and sends you on to the file on GitHub. Nothing about you is stored.
GitHub then serves the file, under GitHub’s own privacy statement.
The release list
The download page asks GitHub for the list of releases directly from your browser, so GitHub receives that request, including your IP address.
Bug reports
What you type in the report form is stored on the site’s database and read by the Poly Mod Loader maintainers. The contact field is optional. Do not put passwords or tokens in a report.
Your IP address itself is not stored. A keyed one-way hash of it is stored with the report, only to limit how many reports one sender can send in an hour.
To have a report deleted, send a new report that asks for it and names the report number.
Ads
Documentation pages may show one ad from Carbon Ads, on wide screens only. When an ad is shown, your browser loads it from Carbon’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser details under Carbon’s privacy policy.
The download page, the install guide and the bug report page show no ads.
Hosting
The site runs on Google Firebase (Hosting, Cloud Functions and Firestore). Google processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the pages and may keep it in its service logs.
Cookies and browser storage
The site sets no cookies of its own. Your browser keeps a few display settings, such as the light or dark theme, in its local storage. They never leave your device.
